Why I Want A Wife: Is She Attacking Marriage?
So, recently, my AP Language class and I have read and discussed "Why I Want A Wife" by Judy Brady, and let me just say it was by far one of the best discussions we have had yet! I do indeed hope to have more like them. After reading this text, I will not fib, I was enraged. Now, in the text, she talks about (sarcasticly) what a man whats. I, honestly, agreed with most of the things she was saying, although, I have to admit some of them were unethical. One of the things I agreed with that was stated in the text said, " When I am through with school and have a job, I want my wife to quit working and remain at home so that my wife can more fully and completely take care of a wife's duties." I cannot begin to tell you how offensive this text is to "a woman's duties", and the things a man wants, but back to the question. Is she attacking marriage itself? In my opinion, of course, but then again, she is being "sarcastic". Regaurdless, I think her personal opinon is that marriage may be a burden, because of what she thinks a man may want....or need. My teacher also wanted us to answer the following question: Is marraige right or wrong for you now or at any time? I know for a fact I'm not ready to get married (Don't get me wrong, I love my significant other dearly), because I have to actually get prepared for the outside world before I jump into that. So, yes, I do indeed, without a doubt, look forward to marriage, even after reading this text loaded with bologna. I believe a man and woman should share the same duties, whether it's house work, taking care of children, and to bringing in the money for the house hold. It is not just a woman's job to do these things. All I have to say is welcome to the 21st century.

Chic-fil-a Controversy Against Gay Marriage?
In my opinion, I will not lie to you, I am infuriated about this. It's not his place to say whether same sexes cannot get married. As it is proven, I highly support support gays becuase they are still people. I have interviewed people about the controversy from both sides. Here's what interviewee #1 had to say. "My opinion on gay marriageis that it's religiously wrong. However, as beings, we were born with free will and in a free country. If a gay couple chooses to burn in the lake of fire in passion with said his/her partner, then that's their business." I cannot believe he is siding with Dan Cathy, Chic-fil-a Pres. & C.O.O and man who started this entire controversy. Being able to see pass people who are prejudice against gays ignorance, I interviewed another person who had something to say about same sex marriage. "I support gay marriage because they have just as much of a right to get married without being judged by ANYONE." After watching the video, even though I made my opinon well before watching it, my personal opinon is descriminating against gay marriage bullying, and I will not stand for it. I make friends with anyone regaurdless of sexual orientation. How do people sleep at night knowing your hurting someone? It's just not logical and ignorant, becuase anti-gays refuse to look at the other side from a gay's view.

My Opinon On Dress Codes
Honestly, my opinion on dress codes is probably going to throw a lot of students who are trapped under the curse of a dress code off. I'll try to explain both sides of my topic. I say this because I support dress codes 100%. I support them because without dress codes, in my personal opinion, students would wear distracting clothing, such as wearing gang related clothes, shirts that show off their cleavage, pants that show off more than above shorts, the list gets ridiculously long, and that's only for girls. I really do hope students can take pride in themselves and understand that what you wear can affect others. Teachers can get distracted by this and are not able to teach or much worse. Although, I'm all for showing individuality, that's what accessories are for. Dress codes are set in place to keep students from getting out of control with their appearance.
